Top 5 Dishes You Should Try In Kuching, Sarawak

7.9.11
I am so behind on posting my trips, but better late than never, right? :)

Most travelers tend to wonder what they should order locally in Kuching. Here’s a simple guide of the top 5:

1.)  Laksa - I love love love Sarawak Laksa! :-D
2.)  Kolo Mee - I'm not a big fan of Kolo Mee though. For me it's just taste like Wantan Mee with sesame oil, without the black bean sauce.
You can find Laksa & Kolo Mee in Chong Choon Cafe @ Lot 121, Jalan Abell.
I am pretty sure most of us have heard about the well-known Laksa and Kolo Mee in Kuching. But not many of us familiar with other local dishes. Below are some interesting local dishes that I would love to share.

3.)  Umai - A local Melanau delicacy in which raw fish is mixed with chilies, salt, onions and lime. What else do I miss?
4.)  Midin Belacan - I simply love the shape of this vegie :-D
5.)  Chicken Pansoh - A traditional Dayak dish.
You can find the 3 local dishes I just share with you in Aroma Cafe @ Jalan Tabuan. (Image steal from Internet.)

We found most of the food & things we looking for in Kuching, except one drink - White Lady. I am still curious about it and wonder how it taste like...

Where are you, my White Lady?
