A Yellow Flower

7.11.10
I see a field of yellow flowers..

Tiny, minuscule flowers that are actually weeds.
In a sea of yellow flowers, all the flowers look alike, but they are different still.
Unique in it owns way..

Now that weed was picked specifically and given to you, would you consider it a weed still?
Or is it now a flower in your eyes?
Does that flower not have more meaning now?
Now how much value and meaning do you put into the "meaningless" things that people give you?

Because to me, how much something would cost isn't as important as the thought that someone put behind it.
If you give your partner the biggest bouquets of roses on valentine's day once a year, I would say it doesn't mean as much as giving a single gerbera on days that you just feel like it.

So this yellow flower, is it still a weed? Same like every other weed growing in this spring?
Or could it mean something so much more?

I remember you gave me a flower that you picked, on the second time we meet.
Perhaps it doesn't really mean anything to you, but I felt all warm and fuzzy inside.
I really appreciate it :)
