Getaway to Koh Samui (final post) | Islands & Nights out

10.10.10
Chaweng has an excellent nightlife. You can find many clubs and pubs here, even stripped club for men!

There are lots of souvenir shops around the town. Bargaining is very common and possible when it comes to souvenir and other products. Many stalls sell mostly similar product, you might have to ask at several places to get an idea of what is a reasonable before starting haggling for the products you really want.

Chaweng has a huge variety of restaurants and you'll find whatever you hanker after along the road.

These lobsters look very fresh!

We didn't have seafood for dinner on the first night in Chaweng. We went to The Coffee Club instead.

I felt like having some light food, so I ordered Caesar salad. This salad serves with lettuce, bacon, bread croutons and shaved Parmesan (cheese)  tossed with a Caesar dressing. Finished with a warm poached egg and anchovies (type of fish, if I not wrong it is "Ikan bilis" cause kinda taste like it).

Next day, I got up early for the one day trip to two beautiful island - Mae Koh Island and Wua Tap island. A minibus picked us up from our hotel to Nathon pier. Then, we had light breakfast during the crossing, in the fully equipped tour boat.

After about an hour, we arrived at Angthong National Marine Park. Those tourist who participated in kayaking activity are ready to start kayaking along the coastline. For those who not joining, we are set over by long tail-boat to Mae Koh island.

A short climb following the steps and stairs rewards you with fantastic views of the salt water lake as known as "Talay Nai" The emerald green lagoon surrounded by sheer cliffs.

To be honest, its pretty scary and terrifying while you walk up the steps.

You'll know it is worth it once you are on top and enjoying this fantastic view no matter how scary the stairs are. Beautiful green lagoon. :)

So pretty! That's why I always love nature.

We spent about 2 hours on the island, then we headed back to the tour boat to have our tasty buffet lunch with fresh fruit on board.

On top of the boat after lunch.

Half an hour later, we arrived at Wua Ta Lap island, so called "Sleeping Cow island".

More kayaking around the island or you may climb to the top view point, where an impressive picturesque panorama of all islands can be seen. For less energetic you may enjoy a swim, go for snookering or just relax on a beautiful beach of white sands as soft as powder.

For me, I choose to stroll on the beach and taking picture around.

We departure from the island at 3'o clock and arrived at Koh Samui around 5pm.

On the forth day, we spent our time mostly in the hotel chilling around. Late evening, we decided to go back to Chaweng for our last dinner in Koh Samui .

We had dinner at Andaman Steak & Seafood. They have a nice presentation of the food along the street.

Portions are pretty large so we got full. Spare Ribs is recommended. Everything tasted very fresh, specially the lobsters. What made this restaurant interesting is you can refill the food you want to eat. Good service, prices are ok.

We had Swensen's ice-cream after dinner.

After strolling around in Chaweng, we settled down in the Mamboo Restaurant Bar for a drink.

Mambo is the gateway to nightlife on Samui, and your first stop on a great night out, with an international menu, bistro coffee, and big screens for all day entertainment. Mambo is fun and energy, and is designed to crank up your mood to the max!

Yes, she dragged me out to dance with her! As a sporting lady, I joined her. Why not, right? I had fun :)
