From Bangkok To Hua Hin

11.7.15

Sawadee Bangkok! This was my third time here,  I always feel like I haven't explore this city enough. It has so much to offer, from beautiful temples to amazing hotels, food and rooftop bars. Besides, the public transports are really convenient  to get around.

This time, we went out of the city to explore Hua Hin town. Hua Hin is a small chilling town, the nearby beach is about 11 minutes walking distance from our hotel.  It's a very basic beach to me, very quiet, calm and relaxing. At night, we leisurely strolling in the night bazaar, shopping and eating.

Stay

Bangkok : We stayed at Gaam Hotel for the first night and I was genuinely impressed by the contemporary yet comfortable room. Staffs are friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this beautiful hotel.

Hua Hin :  We spent 2 nights in Chalelarn Hotel. Hotel and room is decorated in Thai style with ornate furnishing and dark wood which was very nice. I love the roof top swimming pool, calm and chill.

Transportation

There are two ways to go Hua Hin from Bangkok. You can either choose to take the local train or the mini bus. Train to Hua Hin take about 4 hours, however, you can take the mini bus from Victory Monument to Hua Hin which only cost 180 baht and 2 and a half hour drive to Hua Hin. We took the mini bus to Hua Hin, it is safe and comfortable.

See & Do In Hua Hin

There are more places to explore in Hua Hin, but we just choose a few places we interested to go from the tour stall.

Huay Monkol temple - worth a visit to this amazing Buddha that has a great view around

Plearn Wan Vintage Village -  Basically it is quite a short two street attractions. There are interesting shop around, nice place to shop for souvenir.

The Venezia Hua Hin - This place is artificial Venice. It's a nice place to take some picture and imagine you are in Venice Italy. It's still very new and empty, some areas under construction still.

Exploring Krabi (Part 3) - Hong Islands

28.5.15
Four days in Krabi, two days island hopping. Here's a glimpse of our journey in Hong islands.

"And all the lights are shining on the sea, as the rolling waves crash along the beach. And our minds were meant to sail, take a rest from our thoughts, take a break from this world. And we'll feel miles away from the places that we used to be. " -Years Around The Sun

Our days are spent with the sun, sand and sea. Barefoot, salty haired, sun burned skin. We breathe deep of the salt air, pause for sunset, let go of urban stress.

Exploring Krabi (Part 2) - Emerald Pool & Blue Pool

24.5.15
We took a day trip to visit Emerald Pool and Hotspring located on sountern district of Klong Tham. Our packaged tour included a visit to Tiger Cave Temple, I failed the challenge to climbs 1256 steps to the top. It was a sunny afternoon, I almost passed out half way up.

After Tiger temple we headed to Emerald Pool & Hotsping. It took about one hour drive from Tiger Cave Temple, we had our lunch outside the Emerald Pool before we enter. The entrance fees to Emerald Pool is 220 Baht per person, whereas Hotspring entrance fee is 90Baht per person. I didn't take any photo while in hotspring. Instead, I'll share how beautiful blue pool is.

We took a dip in the pool. Nice cooling water but I dislike the rough sands & stones under the pool.
Fascinating Blue Pool. Swimming is prohibited but it was ethereal just looking at it.
